Meet Shaun

I, Shaun Griffith, am currently running for the Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District to represent both the people of the city that I love, Philadelphia, and the people of the country that I love, the United States of America. I moved to Philadelphia from Western Pennsylvania in 2009, and I lived roughly eight years in the Cobbs Creek area of West Philly. Since marrying Rachel Tu, my wife and partner, in July 2017, I have lived in the Tasker Street Homes development near Grays Ferry area of South Philly.

As an attorney, I have been admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania since 2003, and I have been admitted to the United States Tax Court since 2005. I worked as a public service employee for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for nearly fifteen of the past twenty years; contemporaneously, I have advised individuals and small businesses as the operations manager of USA Tax Service, a boutique tax and accounting firm on Ridge Avenue in Roxborough. Having lived in both West Philly and South Philly and having built a business in Roxborough, I have met many of the residents of Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District in several neighborhoods and have come to cherish Philadelphians.

What I’m Fightin' For

Healthcare for All

  • Healthcare is a human right — no one should go without care because of cost or employment status.
  • Strengthening and expanding access to coverage must be a national priority.
  • Philadelphia families deserve healthcare systems that put people before profit.
Learn More

Fair Wages

  • Working people deserve pay that keeps up with the cost of living.
  • Raising wages strengthens families, communities, and local economies.
  • Corporations should pay the true cost of labor — not workers or the middle class.
Learn More

Civil Liberties

  • Democracy depends on due process, accountability, and constitutional rights.
  • No one should be above the law or stripped of their rights without cause.
  • Government power must be checked to protect freedom for everyone.
Learn More

Data Centers

  • Americans should be compensated for the use of their personal data.
  • Communities deserve protection from pollution and environmental racism.
  • A temporary moratorium allows time to build responsible guardrails.
Learn More

Environmental Accountability

  • Communities should not pay the price for corporate pollution or unchecked development.
  • Public utilities, clean water, and clean air must be protected.
  • Environmental decisions should prioritize people, health, and fairness.
